Computer Network Security and Technical Requirements — required of all exhibitors
Due: April 25
The SAPPHIRE NOW and ASUG Annual Conference Exhibitor Program has a computer network security policy that requires adherence to several necessary practices in order to maintain a healthy viable network.
A completed Computer Network Security and Technical Requirements Form is required of all exhibitors and should be completed online as follows:
1.
2.
3. |
Log in to your Exhibitor Console.
Go to your Task List and Timeline Required Documents.
Find Computer Network Security and Technical Requirements, click on "Complete Task Now", and complete the form. |
This Network Security form must be submitted in addition to any Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) forms/requests for network access.
- All devices directly or indirectly accessing the SAPPHIRE NOW and the ASUG Annual Conference network and Internet connection are required to have the latest virus scan software, Windows security updates, system patches, and any technological cautions necessary to protect exhibitors and others from any virus, malicious programs, and other disruptive applications.
- Misuse of network services may result in service interruption to exhibitors and will lead to disconnection of the initiating exhibitor’s network equipment. In the event the exhibitor fails to immediately correct the problem SAP and ASUG reserve the right to immediately terminate access to the network. In such event no refunds will be given.
- Any device that adversely impacts the SAPPHIRE NOW and the ASUG Annual Conference network or Internet connection will be disconnected with or without prior notice at the discretion of SAP or ASUG. The device(s) in question will remain disconnected until all issues are adequately resolved. Additional charges may apply for problem resolution.
- SAP will provide a wireless-Lan network in the North/South Building of the OCCC during SAPPHIRE NOW and the ASUG Annual Conference. In an effort to keep the wireless-Lan network running smoothly all exhibitors are restricted from setting up their own wireless access points in the venue during the conference. This includes exhibit space, show floor meeting rooms and home base rooms. Neither installation nor operation is allowed. Any unauthorized devices found by security scans will be immediately switched off from the network. If an exception to this policy is required, for product demo purposes, please contact Jim Boyle ja.boyle@sap.com prior to April 25.
- To alleviate any burden this policy may cause exhibitors, SAP has established a special arrangement with Smart City.
- Included in the purchase of a single wired internet connection will be an 8-port hub and 7 network cables.
- Turnkey exhibitors, where the internet connection is an included exhibit package component may receive up to 10 wired connections, upon request to their exhibit manager.
Thank you for your compliance. |
